- I provide a wide variety of services in media production, please contact me with any questions at Alex@famfilmandphoto.com. I am currently a Multimedia Specialist with Academic Multimedia Services and an Adjunct Professor at American University. My career has included a variety of roles as a Producer, Director of Photography, Editor, Still Photographer and Glidecam operator on a number of short films, fiction and non-fiction. My thesis project “DIY: What Can I Do?” fuses social networking technology and art, consisting of a crowd sourcing website that encourages environmentalists to produce their own media and create an online presence. The site will eventually culminate in a collection of media on a specific theme that I plan to produce into a “internet-wide” environmental documentary. My film work has been featured in film festivals, websites, and on PBS affiliates under the title “Ecoviews: Reclaiming the Bay”. I was selected as one of the ten best filmmakers of the year by Ithaca College.
